ALUMNI NEWS
New Alumni Association Members - The CCU Alumni Council Executive Committee is the governing body of CCU Alumni Association. Meetings are held in February, May and September. At the February meeting four new members were approved to serve on the council. They are Gary Coleman ('64), Dan Katt ('71, '78), Rick McKenzie ('00) and Bob Kraft (att'd). We are most appreciative of their willingness to serve. Other members of the Council are Rick Shonkwiler - President; Aaron Burgess - President Elect, Rosena Hagee - Secretary, Tom Moll - Treasurer, Jon Underwood, Paul and Alice Wiener, Scott Lloyd, David Roberson, Darrin Belcher, Ron Vance, Drew Humphries and Mandy Abner.
– At the February meeting, the Alumni Council endorsed the concept of creating an “Alumni Heritage Center.” Our campus has changed considerably in recent years. We often hear from older alums how they miss having a “point of contact or reference” on campus to which they can relate. The “Alumni Heritage Center” would be a place where memorabilia and pictures would be displayed to help alumni relive some of their college memories. If you live in the Cincinnati area and would like to be a part of making this dream become reality, please contact me at 513-244-8112 or mark.koerner@CCUniversity.edu.
– The process of applying for an Alumni Scholarship has begun. Forms are available in the Alumni office for undergrad students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year this fall. The due date for applications is March 31. If you know of a CCU student who needs assistance and is qualified academically, please be sure they are aware of this opportunity.
– A letter from Rick Shonkwiler, CCU Alumni Association President, will soon be sent asking CCU alumni to join their Association. Included in the letter will be a survey for you to update the information we have on file. Please complete as much of the survey as possible and return it in the envelope provided.
