ALUMNI NEWS - Births and Weddings
David ('58) and Eva (Att'd '55) Grubbs celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary on August 31 st , 2006. Their four children, Andrew (Att'd '74), Peter (Att'd '77), Joel (Att'd '78) and Miriam (Att'd '82) along with their spouses and eleven grand children helped them enjoy the occasion. An Open House was held mid-August. David plans to retire by the end of 2006 after serving as Executive Minister at Parkside Christian Church in Cincinnati since 2002.
Chad ('99) and Emily ('02) Werner have just celebrated their 9 th wedding anniversary. They have a son, Benjamin, who is 2 and Abby is expected to be born in December. Chad has been a pastor at Vineyard Eastgate for seven years and has also worked full time for a Christian Drug and Alcohol Recovery Center called Teen Challenge Cincinnati - www.teenchallengecincinnati.org
Tanya (Jones) (1996) and Brian Wirtz were married in Cincinnati on August 18, 2006. They will reside in Cincinnati. Tanya is in here fifth year of teaching at Harrison Christian School. In addition to teaching 4th grade, she coaches volleyball and basketball and is advisor and editor of the yearbook.

John ('88, '90) and Peggy ('84) Bush celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary and their 16th year in full-time ministry this summer. They are thankful to the Lord for his blessings.
Joe ('91) and Mari Knott were married in March of 2005 and are excited to announce the birth of their baby girl, Bianca, on November 15, 2005.
Alex and Rebecca (Parsley) Thompson (Att'd '94-'96) will celebrate their 10th anniversary on September 21st, 2006.
Allison (Smith) Nitschke ('05) married Shane Nitschke on October 15, 2005. They are living in Sharonville, Ohio. Allison is an Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist and Shane works as a draftsman for Rough Brothers, Inc.
Jessica Thompson (att'd '00 – '04) married Adam Peterson on July 9, 2005.
Samuel Ogden ('85) married Julie Borchers on July 26, 2005 in Huntington WV. They now live in Bellevue KY.
Andrew Bennett ('92) married Keturah Matthews (JBC '99) on April 16, 2005 in Jeffersonville OH.
Matt ('02) and Leann ('03) Bean are extremely happy and blessed to announce the birth of a baby boy on March 20, 2007. Hunter David weighed in at 7.8 lbs. and was 20.5 inches long.
Jared ('97) and Rhonda Adamson announced the birth of their son, Israel Cole, who entered the world on March 19, 2007. Jared says, “He's a genius, destined to play piano and basketball. He'll also be one of the first to join the “Fourth Generation Club at CCU.”
Jenny (Skiver '95) and Matthew Mosier are very proud to have added three beautiful children to their family in the last year! All three adoptions were finalized within a 10 month period. They are Zimere Michael, 7; Lucas Daniel, 3; and Abbie Rose, 1.
Bob ('06) and Holly Jo Hightchew are excited to announce the birth of Becca Jo on February 25, 2007 weighing in at 7 lbs, 8 ozs. She joins a brother Caleb Joshua and sister Abby Jo.
Josh ('96) and Tara ('99) Bowers announced the birth of a son on February 22, 2007. After a long and difficult labor followed by C-Section, Donovan Michael was born and joins his three big sisters, Sydney, Brooke and Zoe.
Trey and Corene Everett(1994) moved to Crookston, Minnesota in June to work with MICAH, a Christian contemplative retreat center. They also added baby Jack to their family on November 25, 2006. He joins big sister Madeline (7) and Zoe (5). (Photo)
Montgomery ('97) and Melissa Hadden welcomed their first child on July 19, 2006. His name is Jackson Montgomery and he tipped the scales at a whopping 10 lbs!

Brandon ('02) and Lindsay Carbaugh welcomed Connor Lee into the world on October 30th, 2006 weighing 8 lbs 1 oz.
Brad ('98) and Taryn Stone's world has been changed by the birth of Taytum Young on September 22, 2006. Brad and Taryn say they never knew how much love they could have for someone until she was born.
Scott ('98) and Holly (Rauch - '97) Gibson are pleased to announce the birth of their fifth child. Crew Ryan was born on June 27, 2006 weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. He was welcomed home by big brothers Cross (7), Sage (6) and Crayton (2) and big sister Sailor (4).
Clay ('00, '02) and Krista ('99, '02) Haas have a new a new addition to their family. Lainey Elizabeth was born on July 14, 2006. She joined big sister Kaitlynn, 4 and big brother Josiah, 3. They are all excited about this new miracle that has joined the family.
Kevin and Leslie ( Harrison ) ('97) Busch gave birth to a wonderful baby boy on August 16, 2006. His name is Noah Michael.
Mark (Att'd) and Wendy (Waugh-Att'd) Edwards are pleased to let everyone know they had their second child, a daughter, on July 6, 2006. Her name is Eliana Denae Edwards. Exekiel, her big brother, is doing a great job of helping to take care of her.
Chris ('01) and Sara (Burns '00) Cox are thrilled to share the news of the birth of their daughter, Sunnie Grace Cox. Their healthy baby girl was born on April 5 th, 2006 weighing 6lbs 7oz. Chris and Sara are in their 7 th year of ministry at First Church of Christ in Xenia, Oh where Chris is the Pastor to Student Ministry.
Janice ( Berry ) ('Att'd) and Tom Zimmerman welcomed Luke Christopher Bernard into their family on May 8 th , 2006. His big sister Katie was 4 and big brother Jonathan is 2. Luke weighed in at 9.8 lbs.
Jennifer ('02) and Brian Davis are the proud parents of a son, Finn Gabriel, born on October 28, 2005. He is a true gift from God. (See photo at right).
Jason ('93) and Sara ('92) Jones are the proud to announce the birth of their first child, Jackson Thomas Jones, born April 18, 2006 . The proud grandparents are Tom ('51, '55) and Ruth ('68) Friskney.
Jeff ('95, '02) and Carrie ('95) Derico rejoiced at the birth of a son, Jeffrey Zachary, who was born on November 2, 2004. His big sister, Mackenzie, loves her little brother.
Brandon ('01) and Amy (Brinkdopke) ('01) Mayden are pleased to announce the birth of Jasmine Elise on May 23, 2006 . She weighed 7 lbs., 2 ozs. and was welcomed by her big brother Evan.

Priya (John '03) and husband Ben Richmonds have been blessed by the birth of their first child, Kezia Divya, on May 20th, 2006. Grandparents P.V. ('81) and Molly John came all the way from India to welcome their granddaughter into their lives.
Jason ('02) and Tiffany ('02) Judd have been blessed by their new baby girl born on March 30, 2006. Her name is Avery Nicole and she weighed in at 9 lbs. 5oz. (photo at right).
Fariborz and Cathy (McClain) Bozorg Grayli ('94, '96) have been blessed with the birth of their twins, Kian Thomas and Arianna Grace born June 29, 2004 . They have made their lives busy but rewarding. (See photo at left).
Chad ('04) and Jennifer Brown rejoiced at the birth of their second child, Aslan Michelle who was born December 9, 2005 (see photo at right).
Rafael ('00,'02) and Andrea (Boyer '01) Rodriguez welcomed their daughter Janelle Helena into the world November 9, 2005 . She was born in Sheffield, England where Rafael and Andrea lived while Rafael pursued his PhD in Biblical Studies. They are back in the States and are planning to move to Tennesse in the summer.
Greg ('01)and Cindy Bryant welcomed their son, Garrison Chase, into the world on September 27, 2005 .
Dale (Att'd 92) and Elaina ('92) Teriaca Meyers thank God for their precious son, Noah Anakin,born on January 14, 2006 .
Liz (Horne) Wood ('92) and husband Scott celebrated having Tate Aaronson join brothers Tucker and Trent along with sister Tessa on January 31, 2006 to complete their family.
Kelly (att'd) and Steve ('98, '02) Carr celebrated the birth of their daughter, Kaelyn Rhae on February 12, 2006.
Kyle Jamieson Wilson was born on February 15, 2006 to Becca ('02) and Brad ('02) Wilson.
Jarrod (Att'd '98/'99) and Katie Scarberry welcomed their first child, daughter Kenadi Ryan, into their lives on August 31, 2004. (see photo left)
Larry ('86) and Wendy Lipps welcomed Jesse Alan Lipps into their family on March 29, 2005. He joined big sister Ana Beth and big brothers Micah and Caleb. Larry is Children and Families Minister at Bethany Christian Church in Anderson, Indiana.
Randy & Marissa (Keith, '92) Depuy, along with their two daughters, Janna and Katey, are excited to announce the birth of Easton Joseph on April 20, 2005. Easton's family is thankful for his safe and healthy arrival!
Jodie Edwards ('02) and husband Chris had a son, Eli Christopher, born to them on May 6, 2005.
Justin Coberley ('03) and his wife Jennifer welcomed Anna Lu into their family from an orphanage in Lo-Tung, Taiwan. The Coberley's are living in Columbus KS.
Michelle (Miller, attd. '90 -'92) Miller and her husband Larry welcomed Mia Nicole into their family on August 9, 2005. She joins sister Ashley, who is 4 years old. Anyone wishing to contact her can send an email to fidlerm@kenyon.edu
Jason ('04) and Alli Morrissey (att'd.) welcomed their first child, Emma Marie, into the world on September 16, 2005. She is already a tremendous blessings to them. Jason is serving as the Youth Minister at Southside Christian Church in Ft Myers FL. The proud grandparents are Steve ('77 & '92) & Diana (Thurman, '77) White.
Justin ('01) & Michelle White are the proud parents of a son, Lance Harrison, born on September 15, 2005 (the day before his cousin Emma Marie – see above!). Doubly proud grandparents are Steve ('77 & '92) & Diana (Thurman, '77) White.
Nathan ('02) & Elizabeth (Boling, '02) Derico would like to announce the birth of their third child, Caleb Isaiah, born on August 5, 2005. His big twin brothers, Andrew & Adam, welcomed him home and love him very much!
Dan ('97 & '99) and Sarah Libstorff welcomed Laura Grace on September 16, 2005. She joins big brother Joshua (21/2).
John Peterson ('97) has been ministering with the Enon Church of Christ in Enon OH since April 2000. He and his wife Melissa, along with their two children, Hannah (10) and Samuel (7) welcomed Isaac into their family, when they officially adopted him on September 26, 2005. The Peterson's got Isaac from S. Korea in January, 2005.
Aaron ('98) and Tia Levering welcomed Andrew Paul into their family on August 30, 2004. Big brother Christian and Grandparents Keith & Susan (Adams att'd. '71-'73) round out the family. The Leverings have moved to a ministry at the Hodgin Road Christian Church in Richmond IN after a 4 year ministry at the Tuttle Christian church in Tuttle, OK.
Gerald and Kimberly (Link) Booker (’94) are excited to announce the birth of Emma Louise into their family on September 20, 2005. She is a blessing and a great joy to their lives.
