STUDY TOUR OF ISRAEL:
The Land of Jesus
March 4 - 16, 2006
This tour is designed to be an experience of head and heart for those who are prepared to immerse themselves into the culture and history of the world of Jesus' day. It will deliver an overload of sights, sounds, smells, and information. It will not be distracted by shopping sprees, derailed by local guides with misinformation, or detained by "alternative" agendas of a political nature. It cannot be compared with experiences touted as similar; it will require physical and emotional stamina.
CCU Faculty
On-site discussions will be led by two faculty members from CCU.
, professor of New Testament, brings to the Study-Tour an intimate acquaintance with Jesus study. Lectures on the Jewish, Hellenistic, and Roman backgrounds to the Gospel story will add color to each site.
, Professor of Old Testament, has more than 20 years of excavation experience in the Middle East and has led numerous Study-Tours sponsored by CCU. He will contribute to the discussion by providing archaeological commentary.
