The Seminary & RSM Administrative Assistant provides office support activities to the Seminary and Ministry Department. Seminary duties include manning the phones, clerical duties, assisting students and visitors, word processing, admissions processing, event coordinating and publicity production. The RSM responsibilities primarily focus on the Teaching Church and involve daily administrative needs. These include communications with students and teaching church liaisons, maintaining evaluation processes, coordinating transportation, updating and maintaining records, distributing information, and providing administrative support to the Teaching Church coordinator (and liaisons as directed).



  • Manage the Receptionist desk welcoming visitors and answering the phone
  • Manage Student Workers and Graduate Student Association
  • Facilitate Communications with students and faculty
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, emails, forms
  • Receive and process Seminary student applications using Jenzabar
  • Manage Seminary student activities
  • Maintain Seminary filing system
  • Coordinate and administer Seminary surveys
  • Organize Special Seminary events
  • Administer other projects and duties as needed

Teaching Church Administration

  • Provide high level of customer service to all enquiries: build rapport
  • Oversee administrative duties as required, including responding to enquiries (phone, face to face, email, and social media), preparation of correspondence, providing details of Teaching Church (TC) program to liaisons, students, perspective students, and CCU personnel
  • Cover clerical duties including maintaining central email, filing, data entry, logging and organizing weekly evaluation forms
  • Maintain and develop Google Forms and processes
  • Assist in coordination of internal policies with TC liaisons
  • Assist in coordination of CCU class objectives and TC projects
  • Update TC social media platforms as directed
  • Develop and publish monthly TC updates
  • Participate in TC teams and meetings as required (ex: weekly staff meetings, special project meetings)
  • Undertake individual training and development as required

Seminary & Teaching Church Ministry

  • Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ maintaining a courteous Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside Cincinnati Christian University, adhering to the standard of moral conduct & statement of faith, and upholding CCU’s ministry in prayer
  • Ensure that strategic and missional initiatives identified by the university President are accomplished to the fullest possible extent. In every context and with all constituencies, the Administrative Assistant is expected to articulate full support for the university’s mission and the President’s vision
  • Respond to all communications from faculty members, department Chairs, students, and all other CCU employees and constituencies in a timely and professional manner
  • In all contexts, create and promote a healthy administrative and campus culture characterized by free and open disclosure, a spirit of Christian love, grace, and genuine respect maintaining a positive and professional relationship with all university personnel
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Deans or Chairs


  • Knowledge of the mission of CCU and agreement with her philosophy of Christian higher education and purpose
  • Ability to work as part of a team-oriented working environment, and to mobilize others as part of a team culture.
  • Possesses well-developed computer skills including demonstrated experience in the use of a range of Microsoft Office products (ex: Word, Excel, etc.)
