The Cincinnati Christian University Counseling Center is a training site for the Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program, which is pre-approved as a qualifying degree for licensure as a professional counselor by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT Board).
Counseling services are provided by counselors-in-training under the direct supervision of fully credentialed supervising counselors who are appropriately licensed by the Ohio CSWMFT Board. Registered Counselor Trainees (RCTs) are credentialed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board. Professional and administrative activities are governed by ethical standards established by the American Counseling Association, Association of Counselor Education & Supervision, and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
The CCU Counseling Center provides many counseling services to members of the campus community, as well as the tri-state community. The CCU Counseling Center is fully equipped to provide quality professional services. The counseling staff receive ongoing supervision from professionally trained and credentialed faculty and clinical staff. Over the course of a year, counselors-in-training receive at least 30 hours of individual supervision and a minimum of 45 hours of group supervision. Furthermore, the CCU Department of Behavioral Sciences periodically provides professional development opportunities for our therapists and clinical staff, offered in addition to the MAC program curriculum.
The CCU Counseling Center is committed to providing the residents of the tri-state area with affordable services. The Center utilizes a sliding fee scale based on annual family income. Fees may be negotiable. Contact us for more information.
