Before coming to CCU, Verna taught at
Nebraska Christian College and at Rosebank Bible College
in Johannesburg, South Africa. Verna, her husband, Bill,
and their two children were urban missionaries in South
Africa for twelve years. During her time there she was
involved in family life education, leadership training,
mentoring, and benevolent ministries. As a Certified Family
Life Educator, she enjoys teaching couples, parents and
the students who will work with and minister to them.
She is a speaker and workshop/seminar leader. Verna and
Bill have been together in ministry and marriage for over
30 years. They have two married children and three grandsons
who greatly enrich their lives.
Verna holds a Bachelor’s degree
from Nebraska Christian College, a Masters degree in Human
Development and the Family from the University of Nebraska,
and a Masters degree in Pastoral Counseling from Cincinnati
Christian University.
She teaches a variety of courses
including “Family Life Education and Ministry,”
and “Human and Family Development” and serves
as faculty advisor to family studies students.
