Intern Training

The Cincinnati Christian University Department of Behavioral Sciences is pleased to provide training seminars each semester for the Counseling Interns serving in the CCU Counseling Center. The training seminars are designed to provide additional clinical training, as well as to encourage continued personal and professional development. Previous topics have included the assessment of spirituality and religiosity, identification and prevention of suicide, use of Ohio Department of Mental Health SOQIC documentation, boundaries in counseling, time management in educational counseling, treatment planning, counseling individuals with chemical dependency, suicide and micro-suicide, and working with resistant clients.

Although these training seminars were developed for the ongoing professional development of the Counseling Interns serving in the CCU Counseling Center, MAC faculty, staff , and supervisors are invited to attend. Additionally, other guests are invited to attend if the training seminar will address a specific interest or provided some important information for education and/or clinical purposes. Training seminars are provided by MAC Faculty, Clinical Supervisors, and other professionally credentialed counseling professionals.
