As a requirement to complete the Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program, the Internship experience consists of a 600 hour supervised experience in providing counseling services to clients. The 600 contact hours must consist of a minimum of 240 direct contact hours and 360 general hours. Students complete the Internship experience over two consecutive semesters (enrolled in Internship I [COUN 792] and Internship II [COUN 793]), although some students may require of third semester to complete the Internship experience (enrolled in Internship III[COUN 794]).
The Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) Internship experience at Cincinnati Christian University is designed to meet requirements of both the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Program (CACREP) and the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT).
