Our Master of Arts in Counseling program (MAC) has been accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP) since January of 2014. This accreditation assures the quality of our academic program, streamlines the licensure application process for our students, and increases faculty productivity in areas such as research, publication, and service.
The CACREP Board extends two- and eight-year accreditation cycles. It is common for programs seeking initial accreditation (such as CCU’s MAC program) to receive a 2-year accreditation. In October 2015, we submitted an Interim Report to extend our accreditation for the remainder of the accreditation cycle, and it was approved.
Based on our program results and site evaluations, our CACREP accreditation for the MAC program has been extended through the remainder of the eight-year accreditation cycle ending on March 31, 2022.
We have also recently expanded our offerings for the 2016-17 academic year. With new faculty and a more streamlined clinical training process, we are able to accept additional students. Our application deadline has been extended to June 15, 2016, for the Fall semester. Apply online today or contact us to learn more about joining the MAC family – 513.244.8426
