Ohio residents may want to consider taking the class directly at the other school to save money. Another advantage is that students can register sooner for classes. However there are drawbacks to this approach.
Students must complete other steps to have the hours counted toward their full time status at CCU. If less than full time at CCU, the student will need to bring a copy of their registration at the other school to the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar will “sign off” that the class will count toward the CCU degree. The Financial Aid Office will then combine the hours to determine full time status.
Students may have to pay the other school out of their pocket and “reimburse” themselves when their financial aid is available.
Students must earn a grade of “C” (2.0) or better to transfer to CCU.
Students may have to apply to the other school to take classes. The other school may want the student to complete certain pre-requisites before taking classes. A “transient letter” from the Registrar’s Office can usually resolve this but it is another step for the student to take care of.
