WORSHIP & MINISTRY BUILDING
Our Chapel is in this building. Chapel meets at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and some Thursdays and all students are expected to attend (worship studio practicum members cannot pass applied worship lessons without attending at least 12 chapels each semester). Recitals and some board exams also take place in the chapel. There is a 7 1/2′ Yamaha Concert Grand piano on the stage, which may be kept locked. A key may be borrowed from the Music & Worship Office or the President’s Administrative Assistant in the Worship & Ministry Building. Chapel Stage also serves as a rehearsal area.
GLOBAL WORSHIP AND PERCUSSION SUITE
The Global Worship and Percussion Suite contains several instruments traditional to other cultures, as well as a bookshelf with various books and CDs about world music. All of those materials are there for the purpose of free inquiry and experiential learning.
CENTER FOR CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY
Anyone who is a student in a Technology Arts class (MUTC) is free to use the CCT. People who are not currently in a MUTC course may use the room with permission from the department chair.
THE RECORDING INITIATIVE
The Recording Initiative exists for the purpose of encouraging creative collaboration and audio and video creation. Anyone who is a current CCU student is welcome to book the center for no charge, when it is available. But only fully-trained personnel are permitted to use the equipment in that room. Use of this space and equipment is strictly monitored, so talk with Brian Carrigg about recording or working in room WM 228.
THE WORSHIP STUDIO
The Worship Studio is located in room WM 227, behind the chapel stage. This space is intended to serve as sacred area for prayer, worship studio practicums, small group worship, worship team rehearsals, and creative expression of praise before the Lord. Our prayer is that the spiritual center of the CCU campus will be located right here. As such, temporal food or drink is strictly prohibited, and we ask that there be a special sensitivity to those who might be in prayer in the space.
