“I wanted to attend CCU because of its Christian values and small campus. I had a dream I wanted to move overseas and teach at an orphanage. While attending CCU, I was preparing myself for my future and had the best staff that really invested in me as a person and my dreams. I was encouraged each step of the way from different professors and staff members when times were rough and harder than I expected. It is this encouragement from them and my mother that keeps pushing me towards my goal. My last year before student teaching, I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Mexico and help all summer, which would give me the sureness of my dream to become reality.“
“With the push of my professors at CCU, staff members, mother, and personal drive, I can now say that I am in my 8th year of teaching English in Tamaulipas, Mexico, and serving at Mama Paulita Children’s Home.”
“There is not a time goes by when I am in Cincinnati that I do not have some kind of contact with my professors and staff, whom I can honestly call my friends. I am beyond blessed to have had this life-changing experience at CCU and use everything I learned to help the children of Mexico. It is an honor to say I graduated from CCU and know that it is more than just a college but a family.”
