Summary:  The Database analyst role is to ensure the stability and reliability of data access and data quality across the organization. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing, database extraction and manipulation in accordance with business processes. This position reports to the Vice President for Finance & Operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Jenzabar (Student Information System) as Campus Administrator to assist in maintaining an accurate and functional Jenzabar database
  • Coordinate with Jenzabar as Campus Administrator to facilitate software updates
  • Assist in establishing Jenzabar credentials and permissions for new employees
  • Build, develop, and provide Jenzabar information reports to assist internal departments
  • Build, develop, and provide Jenzabar information reports to assist with federal compliance and (i.e., IPEDS, National Student Clearinghouse, accreditation, etc.)
  • Serve as a technical information resource; meeting with user management on a regular basis to report status of projects
  • Produce mailing lists for Advancement, Marketing, Academics, Admissions and other departments for various use
  • May perform other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and in agreement with CCU’s philosophy of Christian higher education 
  • Four year college degree in related field and 2 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of database structures, principles and practices
  • Broad knowledge of reporting and SQL query tools and practices
  • Excellent understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments
  • Good analytical abilities coupled with excellent written and verbal skills to explain technical information to managers and systems users.
  • Ability to listen to needs of users and translate information into user-friendly systems to supply needed data
